Max Mileage Fuel Borne Catalyst

Max Mileage® Fuel Borne Catalyst is a liquid diesel fuel additive from Pittsburgh Power. CES is an authorized Max Mileage dealer, supplying fleets across San Diego, Orange and Riverside counties. We can set your trucks up with it after a BAC 101 DPF clean.

What Max Mileage Is Designed to Do

Pittsburgh Power says Max Mileage is designed to make diesel burn faster and more completely, so more of the fuel’s energy is used in the power stroke and less is wasted as soot and exhaust heat. According to the maker, that can mean:

  • Less soot from the engine
  • Fewer DPF regens and less DPF maintenance
  • Lower exhaust gas temperatures and less DEF use
  • Cleaner fuel injectors
  • A smoother, quieter engine
  • Better fuel economy

Benefits are as described by the manufacturer, Pittsburgh Power. Results vary by engine, fuel and duty cycle.

Max Mileage Products from CES

CES carries two Max Mileage formulas. Order online or call (661) 619-3739.

Original Max Mileage Fuel Borne Catalyst

The original formula. Pittsburgh Power says it works in any diesel engine, from pickups and tractors to heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

  • Dose: 1 oz per 25 gallons of diesel, at every fill-up
  • Sizes: 16 oz $32.95 (min. 2), 1 gal $235.00, 5 gal $1,150.00, plus shipping
  • Registered with U.S. EPA under 40 CFR Part 79

Winterized Max Mileage Fuel Borne Catalyst

The original catalyst with anti-gel protection added. Pittsburgh Power says it’s designed to keep fuel flowing and help cold starts in freezing weather.

  • Dose: 2 oz per 25 gallons of diesel
  • Sizes: 16 oz $32.95 (min. 2), 1 gal $235.00, 5 gal $1,150.00, plus shipping
  • Registered with U.S. EPA under 40 CFR Part 79

How to Use It

  1. Fill the tanks.
  2. Measure the dose for each tank (1 oz per 25 gallons for the original formula, 2 oz per 25 gallons for Winterized). Measure with a glass container. Pittsburgh Power says the catalyst isn’t safe in all plastics.
  3. Pour it in. Pittsburgh Power says it mixes itself.
  4. Repeat at every fill. The maker recommends using it consistently.

Handle with care: wear nitrile gloves, avoid skin contact and use it in a well-ventilated area. Read the label and Safety Data Sheet before use.

Pittsburgh Power says engines already in service can take about 4 to 6 weeks to clean out built-up carbon, and the DPF may see more soot during that period. Starting with a clean filter is one reason we pair Max Mileage with a BAC 101 clean.

Better Together: BAC 101 + Max Mileage

A BAC 101 DPF clean at your yard clears out the ash and soot that’s already in the filter. Max Mileage at every fill is designed to cut down the new soot going in. Keep BAC 101 cleans on your fleet’s regular schedule and your trucks stay lean.
